Summary: small documentation bug (use of shift-F6) Project: GNU Midnight Commander Submitted by: paul_oggi Submitted on: Sat 02/11/06 at 09:22 Category: Documentation Severity: 3 - Normal Status: None Privacy: Public Assigned to: None Open/Closed: Open Release: 4.6.1 Platform Version: GNU/Linux _______________________________________________________ Details: Hi! I noticed by accident that Shift-F6 brings up a rename mask of the current filename. This is one of the most useful features of mc, at least for me. Actually, that along with hex quickview are the only reasons I use the program. I tried every few years to figure this function out, since mc is installed everywhere by default. I used to install my own tools to do those file manipulations, but finally I found what I need in mc. I didn't find this Shift-F6 function documented in the man page or the online help, at least on Debian. It really should be there. Thanks! _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?func=detailitem&item_id=15705> _______________________________________________ Message sent via/by Savannah http://savannah.gnu.org/ _______________________________________________ Mc-devel mailing list http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/mc-devel
