Follow-up Comment #2, bug #17568 (project mc):
The CVS version as of today should fix this issue. I've included patches from
gnulib which deal with the issue.
Anyone who runs MC on a BSD system (FreeBSD, NetBSD, OpenBSD, Darwin),
please, test and report back.
