Primo: FYI, I wasn't saying glib is good or bad. I said it's uninteresting to me, as a general concept. Secundo: I think I said that I am not against it. But the fact I wasn't even aware of g_try_malloc() should ring you the bell that I'm not really the man to do the glib modifications. There are probably more catchy things that right now that I am afraid of (like how trailing-null is counted or not in some string routines etc). Tertio: I didn't know about the glib discussions on the mailing lists. I don't really have time to read them all.
