Enrico, feel free to create branch with your mvfs subsystem (but need a clean precise code, without any "little refactoring" or indentation of existing files). As I understand, mvfs completelly incompatible with present VFS. Therefore need to add option '--with-vfs=<mcvfs|mvfs>' into ./configure script. Default must be traditional VFS. Also, keep in mind that in near future some directories, such as $(srcdir)/vfs and $(srcdir)/edit will moved into $(srcdir)/src subdir (for example, $(srcdir)/src/vfs and $(srcdir)/src/edit). This is a part of old-time plan by reorganization directory structure. Therefore (IMHO) better way for now: need to resolve ticket http://www.midnight-commander.org/ticket/1866 as fast. Then you may add your library into $(srcdir)/src/mvfs.
