I'm sorry for the tone of the previous message. I assumed that you were
talking about something unrelated.

I don't like ignoring all errors by redirecting the output to /dev/null,
unless you convince me that this is the best what MC can do.

I understand that your patch introduces some kind of logging. Could you
please explain what you are doing. Not everybody in this list has the
magic ability to read you thoughts :-)
