Hi For a few months now I've been suffering from mcedit internal error. Every once in a while, without any reason, mcedit stackdumps during exit procedure (after pressing F10 or double ESC).
Debugging mcedit seems pointless as stackdumps occur on a very irregular basis. Can I provide any more information? I work on a Cygwin system, but Cygwin people told me that I should rather send this report here. $ mcedit --version GNU Midnight Commander 4.6.1-pre2a Virtual File System: tarfs, extfs, cpiofs, ftpfs, fish With builtin Editor Using the ncurses library With optional subshell support With support for background operations With mouse support on xterm With support for X11 events $ echo $TERM cygwin $ uname -a CYGWIN_NT-5.0 duli2 1.5.17(0.129/4/2) 2005-05-25 19:38 i686 unknown unknown Cygwin $ cat mc.exe.stackdump Exception: STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION at eip=610CA032 eax=00000020 ebx=611314FC ecx=2D202E20 edx=00000004 esi=1003BC48 edi=100313EC ebp=0022ED68 esp=0022ED30 program=d:\cygwin\bin\mc.exe, pid 48936, thread main cs=001B ds=0023 es=0023 fs=0038 gs=0000 ss=0023 Stack trace: Frame Function Args 0022ED68 610CA032 (10033668, 100313EC, 00000010, 1004D198) 0022ED98 610667A6 (0000001C, 100313EC, 004713D0, 0022EDF0) 0022EDB8 610A087F (0000001C, 100313EC, 0022EDE8, 610ECBF8) 0022EDE8 004271E0 (1003BC50, 00000000, 0022F084, 1004D198) 0022EE18 004279E3 (100313EC, 1003BE20, 004713D7, 0022EE6C) 0022EE48 004279D8 (100313EC, 1003BE10, 1003BE90, 00427A7B) 0022EE78 004279D8 (100313EC, 1003BDB8, 0022EEB8, 004279AA) 0022EE98 00427AF6 (10031580, 00000000, 100315A0, 0043A97C) 0022EEB8 00427ABE (1003BC08, 10031DA8, 10031D88, 100315A0) 0022EED8 00427ABE (1003C388, 610066B8, 0022EF08, 00432926) 0022EEE8 00427B23 (00472AE4, 00472B10, 00472B0C, 1003BED8) 0022EF08 00432926 (61128080, 00000001, 0022EF38, 00421C57) 0022EF18 0042156E (1003BC50, 00000000, 0022EF58, 00000000) 0022EF38 00421C57 (00000000, 00000000, 00000019, 00000050) 0022EF88 00421D53 (00000031, 61825448, 0022EFA8, 00000004) 0022EFA8 00422756 (00000002, 61825448, 100300A8, 0022F000) End of stack trace (more stack frames may be present) Regards Krzysztof Duleba _______________________________________________ Mc mailing list http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/mc
