I'm showing my ignore here but....

I installed that rpm with "rpm -iv mc-4.6.1a-0.15.src.rpm" but I can't find
where it installed! (so I can't compile it)...

Could you give a couple of newbie tips?

Thanks

Yes, add --without-x to the configure parameters in the spec file and
recompile your src.rpm. Then it should work fine.

BTW. the latest devel mc in Fedora Core is compiled with this option
already, so you can download it directly from:

http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/development/SRPMS/mc
-4.6.1a-0.15.src.rpm
if you don't want to touch the spec file.
