That is the configuration file for the MC extension feature (mc.ext
for short). To use the rules within, you must actually use MC. :)
Select multiple files in MC, then press enter on a file for whom a
matching rule exists, which executes the command based on rules in
mc.ext, by way of temp shellscript, which is when the errors appear
which I'm talking about. (For example to view a photo or watch a
movie.)
