Let me know if you have any consultants with the following skills Job : Sr. Oracle, Sql DBA (Clustering) On Linux/Solaris Location : Jersey city Duration : 24+ Months Position Objectives The principle objective of this assignment is to provide for BNPP's Oracle and Sql applications and databases .. . primary Application-Dba, Data Integration, Data Management and Data Warehousing support, . primary Systems-Dba support. This position requires extensive PROD support experience with Oracle and Sql Databases, and an application oriented skillset preferably with prior Application Dba/ Data Warehouse Dba experience or a Database development background. Expertise in Oracle ASM, DataGuard, RMAN, OEM, Ms SqlServer, DTS/ SSIS are a must. It requires in depth/ expert knowledge of SQL, T-SQL, PLSQL/ stored procedures, triggers, db/ app security and Oracle, MsSql programming in Unix & Windows environments. Key responsibilities include dba support, db/ app optimization, data modeling, deployment of application schemas, account provisioning and supporting application releases, data integration and warehousing, business intelligence, analytics and reporting. High skill level in Unix, Windows environments, OS troubleshooting and unix/windows power shell scripting is required. We are looking for a highly motivated, proactive and energetic individual who can support complex Oracle, Sql environments and lead data integration and reporting efforts in a fast paced financial environment. Position Responsibilities 1. Provide 24/7 primary systems dba support for all Oracle 10g+, Microsoft SQL Server 2005+ clustered & standalone databases and related systems on Solaris SPARC/X86, AIX , Linux and Windows for the Capital Markets (CM) business in North America. 2. Provide 24/7 primary application dba support for Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server to perform db, schema & account provisioning, app db security & schema/ data management for application releases and adhoc support/ troubleshooting/optimization; perform data integration and warehousing, business intelligence, analytics and reporting; maintain data delivery/ archival flows to & from the Oracle, Sql data warehouses. Manage related script repositories and processes 3. Supporting the business on-call after business hours and weekends on a rotation basis for Oracle and MS SQL Server 4. Contribute towards Architecture, Engineering of Db solutions. Develop, Document and Deploy Standards and Procedures to comply with Audit, Configuration, Industry and Security baselines. 5. Lend database design, development, tuning & optimization expertise to application development and support teams on an ah-hoc or continual basis. Participate in App performance SLA certification during QA/UAT 6. Proactively monitor all database systems utilizing vendor supplied and BNP Paribas custom scripts and standard tools including OEM, SQL Profiler, EM/Mgmt Studio, CA Unicenter NSM, DSM, Insight and AutoSys 7. Maintain complete inventory, configuration and documentation of deployed systems and supported apps. 8. Work with the windows/ unix client workstation/ server package development & deployment team to develop database client software install and upgrade packages including update mechanisms to db lookup files. 9. Work within the project management framework defined for IT Production North America. 10. Cross train members of the Database team in all responsibilities and maintain a daily and weekly rotation schedule for these. 11. Liaise with application and business clients to gather requirements, design and deploy standard systems which clearly differentiate between production, development, UAT/QA, and DR. 12. Identify operational and infrastructure risks within the environment and work with the CM application development teams and business users to make corrections and mitigate risks. 13. Ensure that all systems are backed up & monitored according to business requirements & notify the data owners upon failures. 14. Ensure optimal resilience of deployed systems and meet all disaster recovery and compliance requirements dictated by the business. 15. Maintain top-notch technical skills & business knowledge through proactive self-learning in addition to any formal instructor-led training 16. Interface with external vendors in troubleshooting complex, cross-platform issues. Provide comprehensive cross-training for ITP engineers and support personnel on front-line database client troubleshooting and support. Position Requirements 1. Expert knowledge of Oracle, Sql database concepts, development and administration with Four years+ as Oracle and/or Sql DBA in a production environment. 2. Oracle, Sql Development and/or Application DBA experience, strong Sql, T-Sql, PlSql, DM*/DataDictionary knowledge, OLAP skills highly preferred. Well - rounded system dba and application dba skills a must. 3. Expertise with Oracle 10g+, Sql 2005+ Data Warehousing, Partitioning, Compression, Materialized/Indexed Views, ETL scripting, Data Integration across Heterogenous rdbms' (Oracle,MsSql,Sybase) and file/ structured/ webservice/ xml data sources, Data Archival/ Purge techniques and managing very large databases (1TB plus). 4. Experience with Oracle hsodbc, Oracle Gateways, Oracle OLAP, Oracle Warehouse Builder, Microsoft Profiler, DTS/ SSIS/ SSAS. BusinessObjects experience strongly preferred 5. Must have extensive and proven troubleshooting, recovery, db and app optimization & administration experience in large and mission critical enterprise environments (50+ managed servers). 6. Experience in building/ administering Oracle solutions on Linux, Solaris SPARC/x64, AIX in a SAN environment using Oracle ASM, RAC/Clusterware, DataGuard/ SRDF, RMAN and OEM. 7. Strong Unix, Windows experience (sysadmin/power-user level reqd.), Programming & Shell scripting skills, Perl. 8. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related area preferred 9. Seven years+ Oracle experience a must 10. Five years+ Sql experience a must 11. Sybase experience a plus 12. Financial Industry experience a plus 13. Oracle 9i+ Certified Professional a plus 14. Microsoft MCSE/ MCITP Certification a plus 15. Ability to interface with users at all levels of the organization and good end-user support skills. 16. Must be well-organized, responsible, work effectively as a team player in a project management framework, have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and able to multitask in a dynamic trading environment.
