Project Description:

IT Supply Network Capability (SNC), Sourcing & Svcs Solutions team needs CWs to 
work on the following -- Project is to develop business intelligence 
applications. Currently information that is used to make decisions is scattered 
and hard to locate. Lack of information aggregation results in making business 
decisions without all of the information. The business intelligence 
applications that will be developed in this application will aggregate all of 
the information from a variety of sources, then display that information in a 
variety of dashboards that will facilitate clear information and decision 
making.


Daily Responsibilities: 

  a.. Develop expert understanding of how an application is used by customers 
in their daily business/processes. 
  b.. Build and Implement a series of databases to manage internal and external 
data sources routinely. 
  c.. Develop DataMarts that support Extracting data from outside and internal 
sources, Transforming it to fit our operational needs, and Loading it into 
target DataMarts (ET&L.) 
  d.. Ensure the integrity of the data stored in the departmental data mart by 
using industry standard tools to manage/alert. 
  e.. Partner with Database Architect, Developer and KTBR to ensure database 
design is optimized for end user performance. 
  f.. Be part of project implementations using Agile, including developing 
project epics, stories, UATs (with customer) and coordinate and perform project 
testing (w ith customer). 

Necessary Skills (Must Have):

  a.. SQL 2008 Database design, database and server implementation and 
sustaining 
  b.. Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 RDMS. 
  c.. SQL Server Clustering, data migrations, SQL data replication, ET&L's, 
database and server optimizations, SQL database proactive maintenance 
  d.. Windows Server 2008 Administration. 
  e.. Experience with web application support/deployment, web clustering, IIS 
Administration 
  f.. Experience with working on Agile Development teams.

this application will aggregate all of the information from a variety of

  a.. Design database structure to support critical indicator and reporting 
needs for CS for both internal and external consumption. 
  b.. Create database schema that supports short term and long term scalability 
in terms of current and future reporting needs. 
  c.. Partner with Database Administrator, Developers and KTBR to ensure 
database design is optimized for end user performance. 
  d.. Influence Enterprise Business Intelligence team by demonstrating how the 
MS BI departmental solution compliments the Enterprise BI solution. 
  e.. Responsible for reusing, building out, and improving upon the enterprise 
architecture landscape. The artifacts include as-is-architecture, 
to-be-architecture, migration roadmaps, governance and process work products, 
and strategies that are developed based on business drivers, technical 
capability strategies and standards, emerging technology, tradeoff analysis of 
alternatives, and best practices. 

Necessary Skills (Must Have):

  a.. Agile development experience a must 
  b.. Excellent Written and Verbal skills (including meeting management) in 
English. 
  c.. Self-motivated and well organized. Able to work on diverse teams 
  d.. Ability to multitask - balance multiple project responsibilities. 
  e.. Development and execution of the architecture process in order to 
maximize the value of business strategies 
  f.. Conversant across business, data, platform and application, technology 
(BDAT), and solution architectures, usually specializing in at least one of 
these areas. 
  g.. SQL 2008 Database design, database and server implementation and 
sustaining.
