Sr. Level JAVA developer with several recent years of Weblogic experience. The position supports two JAVA applications that are in service and require regular maintenance and support activities. 2. Support the installation, configuration, and production support of COTS software that is installed on MS Windows and Linux servers. The primary COTS packages are Primavera and Cognos. I anticipate that the time spent on both tasks will be about 50% each. Excellent comunication skills are a requirement. The ability to convert this resource to full time status is preferred and should be noted when submitted for review. Skill Requirements Experience in Months J2Ee 36 Java 60 JDK 60 Lynx 24 Windows 7 24 Eclipse 12 WebLogic 36 BA/BS preferred Qualifications: a.. 5+ years development experience with multi-tier systems. b.. Expert technical knowledge, with hands-on experience in program development with JAVA / J2EE technology environments. c.. Specific experience with Oracle's WebLoigic environment is required. d.. Experience with Oracle Beehive collaboration software is highly desired. e.. Besides the technical skills listed, the candidate should be fairly proficient with Tomcat App Server 7. f.. Expert skills in verbal and written communications, with the ability to express highly complicated technical concepts in business terms. g.. Expert analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills. h.. Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work well on cross-functional project teams. i.. Strong experience in the industry or in a production/service environment similar to SEu. j.. Extensive knowledge in systems development life cycle and methodologies . k.. Demonstrated ability to lead small (1-3 resources) development efforts. Responsibilities: There are two aspects to this position. The successful candidate will be providing Sr. level JAVA development work and supporting the implementation and support of Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) software. Working under the direction of a Software Team Lead, conduct requirements gathering, systems analysis and design for high complexity applications. Prepares detailed program specifications for high complexity applications from which programs will be designed, coded, configured, visually developed, tested and debugged. Follows program specifications to design, install, code, document, configure, visually develop, test, debug, plan and execute implementation of application programs. Develops process business knowledge and relationships to integrate activities with other IT and business personnel to ensure successful implementation of projects and production support efforts. Reports to management on the status of project efforts for self and others, anticipating and identifying issues that inhibit the attainment of project goals and implementing corrective actions.
