Rate: $55/hr c-c Max

Duration: one year

 

Qualifications: 

Over 5 years development experience. Expert technical knowledge, with hands-on 
experience in program development in one or more technology environments. 
Expert skills in verbal and written communications, with the ability to express 
highly complicated technical concepts in business terms. Expert analytical, 
problem-solving, and conceptual skills. Strong interpersonal skills; ability to 
work well on cross-functional project teams. Strong experience in the industry 
or in a production/service environment similar to SEu. Extensive knowledge in 
systems development life cycle and methodologies . Demonstrated ability to lead 
small (1-3 resources) development efforts. 

 

Responsibilities: 

Conducts requirements gathering, systems analysis and design for high 
complexity applications. Prepares detailed program specifications for high 
complexity applications from which programs will be designed, coded, 
configured, visually developed, tested, debugged. Follows program 
specifications to design, install, code, document, configure, visually develop, 
test, debug, plan and execute implementation of application programs. Develops 
process business knowledge and relationships to integrate activities with other 
IT and business personnel to ensure successful implementation of projects and 
production support efforts. Reports to management on the status of project 
efforts for self and others, anticipating and identifying issues that inhibit 
the attainment of project goals and implementing corrective actions. 

 

The IVR Java Software Developer has the following key areas of focus: 

Design, program, configure, integrate, implement, maintain and continuously 
improve the company's mission-critical call center IVR system. 

Leverage new and existing technology in solutions that add value to the 
Customer Call Center operations. 

 

The IVR Java Software Developer being sought for this position is expected to 
possess and apply the following core competencies: 

Highly competent in carrying out software developer responsibilities such as, 
but not limited to, requirements analysis, software design, coding, testing and 
deployment. 

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills. Has the ability to: 
breakdown business requirements into organized logical design requirements; 
derive both business and system requirements from existing and newly discovered 
information; write clear requirements and design/program specifications that 
correctly address the business requirements. 

Excellent at troubleshooting complex enterprise software and data issues. 

Provide technical leadership in forming solutions, at both the tactical and 
architectural level, for complex problems. 

Provide technical leadership to other developers, internal clients and tactical 
teams. 

Strong interpersonal skills: communicates effectively and collaborates with 
internal clients, IT colleagues, business stakeholders and vendors in the 
formation of solutions, decisions, and direction. Foster and maintain good 
relationships with customers and IT colleagues to expected customer service 
levels 

Team player who can be depended on and trusted with completing his/her tasks. 
Takes ownership of his/her work in a shared responsibility team setting while 
taking the necessary steps to ensure delivery of the entire product. 

Develop business knowledge and relationships to integrate activities with other 
IT departments and business units to ensure successful implementation and 
support project efforts. 

Good project management skills, operating as part of a team organizing, 
planning, and executing large-scale projects from the envisioning stage through 
implementation. 

In addition to meeting the above stated competencies, the candidate for 
consideration is expected to meet the following requirements: 

Undergraduate degree in information systems, computer science, or equivalent 
work experience and technical training is required. 

Minimum 3 years' experience developing software applications in Java, XML, 
JDBC, AJAX, Oracle, and JavaScript is a must. 

Work experience on IVR systems using VXML and voice technologies such as Nuance 
Realspeak, Genesys call center applications, Genesys IVR platform (GVP), etc. 

Experience in system integration of applications on multiple platforms, 
including mainframe, is a plus. 

Skills and experience in SQL, C/C++, SPARX, Web Services, Linux, , Windows, 
Crystal, ODBC, GUIs, XML-RPC, various RDBMS, SMS, enterprise software 
development using enterprise design tools (e.g., SPARX Enterprise Architect), 
automated test tools, Web Services, and ITIL are pluses
