* * *Job Description:* *Skills/experience: *This is a very challenging position requiring the candidate to learn and internalize Qualcomm hardware and software operation concepts very quickly. Strong technical and troubleshooting skills will be highly important in performing daily tasks. - Driver design and development on Embedded Linux operating system - Linux BSP development for new Small Cell platforms - Integration and development of OAM, networking, WiFi, and other platform features - Board bring-up on embedded platforms *Technical Responsibilities: The successful candidate will:* - Write or port device drivers for advanced peripherals such as Ethernet, WiFi, GigE Switches, etc - Be able to port embedded operating systems to new hardware platforms - Port/Create/Enhance platform applications for new and advanced functionality *Relevant Years of Experience Required 4 - 8 years * *Must Have Technical Qualifications: 5+ years of industry experience* - General knowledge of processor architecture & micro-architecture, including familiarity with caches, - MMUs & interrupt handling (ARM preferred) - Experienced with SMP kernel programming - Understanding of on-chip debug and trace facilities - Assembly language and C/C++ programming, preferably for embedded systems or drivers (ARM preferred) - Debugging experience with kdb, kgdb, gdb, assembler listings and OS dumps - Experience with network sniffers, IXIA/Smartbits test equipment preferred - Familiarity with JTAG and ETM based debug environments (Lauterbach/Trace-32 preferred) - Familiarity with at least one Linux embedded OS - Experience using configuration management/build systems (PTXDist preferred) - Experience with source code control (Git, Repo, Gerrit preferred) *Must Have Business Qualifications: *** *Good to Have Qualifications:* The candidate is expected to have strong communication and interpersonal skills, high motivation, ability to learn quickly, and must be a self-starter.
