Overview:*
We are seeking a Senior SSIS/SQL Server Developer/DBA to build & support
the data transformation/providing capability for systems. The candidate
will implement within the framework of our enterprise data architecture and
data governance solutions.
*Required Skills:*
BA/BS degree
10+ Years of experience in SQL Server DBA/Development
SSIS Experience at least 5-7 years
8+ years in SQL Server database tuning and application query optimization
Strong experience in Administration & Development of SQL 2012 * Always ON
architecture and technologies
SSIS / T-SQL / SQL, Power Shell coding
Very strong SQL development skills
SQL Server 2012 Architecture
Performance tuning and SSIS experience is a must
*Responsibilities:*
Core competencies in Microsoft SQL Server 2012 Always ON, SSIS (MCITP SQL
Server 2008/2012 certification a plus)
Manage and support high performing mission critical database platforms
Manage and administrate enterprise production SQL Servers in a large scale
high performance environment to ensure high availability of database
services
Design, develop and maintain SSIS ETL jobs and batch processes
Install, configure, and maintain database instances; create various
database objects, create users with appropriate roles and levels of security
Perform database performance analysis, capacity planning, system sizing and
ongoing maintenance/tuning to ensure maximum performance and availability
Assist application development teams with planning and implementing
database changes as well as query / job optimization
Provides support to the application development personnel during database
design and debugging
Reviews and performs analysis on new or improved database tools, techniques
and methodologies and recommends or implements appropriate solutions
Using Profiler traces and other tools to assist in database queries tuning
and optimization
Provide general production support, including trouble shooting, job
completion, performance tuning and monitoring, etc
Document and automate processes
*Important:*
needs to be a fast learner / understand business implications of
design/decisions
Participate in design and analysis sessions with business analysts, data
modelers, and source-system technical teams.
Drive high-level design artifacts down to detailed-design specifications
Build and expand SSIS-based data integration platform
Participate in code reviews of ETL and SQL processes
Develop and execute test plans through unit testing and integration testing
Create production run books and other support documentation
Participate in design and analysis sessions with technical leads to ensure
sound team decision-making, and come up with the best appropriate solutions
Standardize all design and development processes across the entire data
provisioning ETL framework
Experience with leveraging 2008 R2 / 2012 features such as partitioning,
indexing schemes, table compression, etc
