Security Engineers Providence, RI 6 Months
The Security Projects Engineer is responsible for a wide array of level 3 design and support activities within the projects group and must have a background primarily in security projects. Some understanding of data projects is desired, however security skills are first priority. Candidates demonstrate extremely strong technical analytical skills while providing advanced analysis of network and network-security related problems. The Security Projects Engineer will have a strong network and security background and will play a role in both the support and configuration of devices and services. Primary responsibilities include configuration, design and troubleshooting of network infrastructure including managed firewalls, IDS and networking equipment, managing network escalations, process creation and improvement, documentation and initial support of owned -platforms and technologies within the group. Additionally, participates in and provides leadership in applications and technology initiatives from an architectural perspective in conjunction with existing standards and methods of delivery. Basic Qualifications: Minimum 7 Years Network Security Experience Candidate must have a strong understanding of Cisco ASA firewalls and general security One or more of the following certifications is desired, but not required.- CCNA, CCNP, CCSP, CISSP. Experience with one or more of the following is desired, but not required: F5 Big IP LTM/GTM, Cisco ACS, F5 Firepass, Zenoss, Algosec, QRadar, Stealth Watch, Sourcefire, Palo Alto Firewalls, Cisco ASA Firewalls Considered SME in technology field and has expert knowledge of equipment, protocols, technologies, services, and monitoring tools.
