Title: Business Analyst (Membership & Billing) posted on 2014-05-29 16:36:18 Job Description:· Defines and documents customer business functions and processes. · Consults with SME’s to identify, define and document business needs and objectives, current operational procedures, problems, input and output requirements, and levels of systems access. · Acts as a liaison between end-users, technical analysts, consultants, Managers and Directors and others (as applicable) in the analysis, design, configuration, testing and maintenance of Membership & Billing systems to ensure optimal operational performance. · Analyzes the feasibility of, and develops requirements for, new systems and enhancements to existing systems; ensures the system design fits the needs of the users. · Tracks and fully documents changes for functional and business specifications; writes detailed universally understood procedures and for use in build/buy decision of the products for Membership and Billing applications and its training. · Identifies opportunities for improving business processes through information systems and/or non-system driver changes; assists in the preparation of proposals to develop new systems and/or operational changes. · Reads and interprets Membership & Billing systems (Mainframe based) and functional/technical aspects and translates in terms understandable to the Business end-users. · Plans, organizes and conducts business process reengineering/improvement meetings · Conducts change impact analysis to assess the potential implications of changes and documents business rules, functions and requirements. · Participates in user acceptance testing and testing of new system functionality. · Provides technical assistance in training, mentoring, and coaching business and technical staff. · Participates in studies of new and existing mainframe based programs and other projects to determine feasibility, resolve problems including procedural, technical research and analysis; develops procedures to improve efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and/or improve internal and external Membership and Billing Functions · Should have good understanding of Enrollment Intake, data Scrubbing and data loading into Membership & Billing Systems · Healthcare Domain Certifications would be plus, must have 6+ Years of Business Analyst Experience in Healthcare Domain with expertise in Membership and Billing area. · Candidate should have excellent communication and customer interaction/facing skills.
