If you do have any suitable candidates who is available immediately, *BUSINESS ANALYST* *Location: Chicago, IL* *Duration: 9 Moths + Extn* *Rate: $43/hr * *phone+face to face interview * *Job Description:* Searching for a business facing analyst with Eagle Star experience. Reporting to the project business lead, the Business Analyst will focus on a project involving Eagle Star primarily focusing on Eagle reports. The qualified candidate will perform and follow functional business testing and UAT testing of the Eagle software. Track and verify test results by testing various scenarios, test cases and test scripts. In addition to testing the role will include: Eagle Star is a portfolio accounting platform that serves as a holding database for all accounts that are managed. It functions as posting coupons, dividends, etc. Almost every bank has a specific portfolio platform that they use (Northern uses Eagle), and we would prefer candidates that have experience using this specific portfolio platform, but if the candidates are not repeat Northern contractors, will look at candidates that have used other portfolio platforms. ****Manager is okay looking for people that have the technical piece background, BUT we are really looking for candidates that have the business piece as well. Where the contractor will be having to sit with business partners, understand the industry knowledge of portfolio accounting, and how they use it.* This person will be jumping in the middle of this specific project, but might have other responsibilities in other related projects. The project is migrating the reports used on Eagle Star that are outdated (retired reports) to their newer reporting platform. 1) Liaison between the lines of business and the Development team 2) Defines develops and delivers test plans and associated test case scenarios 3) Assists with tasks and deliverables related to System Development Life Cycle 4) Elicit business requirements through discussions with customers and internal teams and analyzing current and desired business processes 5) Analyzes Business and Data Requirements to understand the business needs and to determine how their applications can best functionally fulfill those needs 6) Assist with training and rollout plans for new systems or enhancements to existing systems Qualifications: 1) General knowledge of financial instruments, including fixed income and equities 2) Experience with user testing of business applications 3) Experience with Eagle STAR/PACE 4) Strong business writing skills, having the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts in clear terms through text and diagrams ***Manager will look to see if candidates have the qualifications listed above first and also work experience. Looking for people that have worked on previos updates with portfolio accounting.
