*Position: Embedded Software Design Engineer* *Location: Redmond, WA* *Duration: 12 month contract* Embedded Software Design Engineer - Redmond, WA *Must-haves:* - Strong knowledge and experience working with Android's Native Multimedia Framework including the StageFright Engine and Media Player Service - Understanding of the OpenMAX Integration Layer standard - Excellent programming, debugging, and problem solving skills (C/C++) - Excellent working knowledge of image and video processing pipelines - Experience with video codec standards (preferably H.264) and the ability to create your own custom codec - Deep familiarity with multimedia stack on Linux or Windows - Good oral & written communication skills - Be a team player and able to work with a diverse group of engineers across the globe - Masters in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering - 5+ years of experience working with embedded software development *Plusses:* - Experience working with Android Graphics Components stack especially with SurfaceFlinger - Previous experience designing and implementing camera drivers (specifically ISP drivers) - Experience working with the accompanying Camera Middleware Stack (including the Native Camera Library and the CameraService libraries) *Day-to-Day:* This enterprise gaming company is looking for a passionate and self-driven embedded software engineer to work on key pieces of video and camera driver stack for their gaming systems.
