*Position: QA Automation Engineer* *Location: Cincinnati, OH* *Duration: 3 MONTH* *Must be Greencard or USC* Our client has a need for a Senior Technical Analyst (QA Automation Engineer) The QA Automation Engineer is responsible for automation and testing related practices. They are also responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining automated test scripts, according to the defined QA framework and scripting standards. The QA Automation Engineer troubleshoots automation issues, performs root cause analysis, and drives issues to appropriate resolutions. *Responsibilities* - Develop and implement automated testing practices for both web and windows applications. - Design and create test scripts to address areas such as, end to end testing, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug verifications retests, and usability testing. This includes working with the functional test team. - Work with QA team members to define/enhance processes and strategies associated with automation. - Applies appropriate automation technologies to meet the short and long term goals of the testing organization with a focus on improving overall testing efficiency. - Troubleshoots automation issues, Performs root cause analysis and drives issues to appropriate resolutions. - Improve the reliability and repeatability of automated testing. - Works with project teams, Agile teams and QA test leads to establish automation scope and effort. - Collaborates with Business Analysts and Business users to help support the user acceptance testing effort. - Actively participates in and supports the software development life cycle and project management process. - Quality – Demonstrates accuracy, thoroughness, and attention to detail at all times; looks for ways to improve and promote quality; applies feedback to improve performance; monitors own work to ensure quality. - Technical Skills – Pursues training and development opportunities; strives to continuously build knowledge and skills; shares expertise with others. - Initiative – Seeks increased responsibilities and takes ownership of tasks at hand; looks for and takes advantage of opportunities. - Teamwork – Balances team and individual responsibilities; exhibits objectivity and openness to others’ views; gives and welcomes feedback; contributes to building a positive team spirit; puts success of team above own interests; supports everyone’s efforts to succeed. - Planning and Organizing - Coordinates time and prioritizes tasks to ensure work is completed effectively. - Decision Making - Compares data from different sources to draw conclusions and develop appropriate testing strategies. - Communication - Clearly conveys information and ideas both verbally and written. - Ability to multitask. *Experience:* - 5 or more years of IT Quality Assurance experience. - 2 or more years Developing and Maintaining Automated Tests *Skills:* - Experience with Selenium or other Automated Test Tools - Experienced with Programming or Scripting in Java / Groovy / Other - Experience with various testing tools –HP ALM, Jira, and UFT - Intermediate MS Office skills required – Excel, Word - Familiar with relational databases and client-server concepts - Experience working in an Agile environment preferred - Experience using xpath or css to identify objects preferred *Pluses:* - Experience with xml message testing tool (i.e. Matador, SOAP UI) - Experience with performance testing tools (i.e. Performance Center, NeoLoad) - Experience with Hudson /Jenkins Continuous Integration Tools Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent business experience.
