TITLE: Master | Black Belt (M/BB)



I. SUMMARY OF POSITION



The Performance Excellent Master | Black Belt role provides the opportunity
to work on the cutting edge of process management and improvement
methodologies to radically enhance service quality, operating model
efficiency, employee engagement, and management cost. Through the
application of PE principles and practices within assigned areas of Client
Services Delivery (CSD), the Master | Black Belt (M/BB) will drive and
influence organizational change by building cross-division capability,
simplifying processes and operating models, and transforming the way CSD
thinks and works. Each Business Executive has deployed Business Champions
(BC) to work directly with a PE Partner to identify and prioritize
projects. The M/BB will work closely with the PE Partner to oversee all
technical aspects of each project, such as methodology, tools, and business
case. In addition to delivery and execution, the Catalyst will also coach,
mentor and nurture the growth of internal Catalysts (GBs) from initial
identification through training and project execution to certification.



II. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:



1. Reports directly to a functional Performance Excellence Partner (PE
Partner) with location dependent on reporting line

2. Works closely with the PE Partner to identify, prioritize, resource, and
execute improvement and innovation projects using Lean Sigma methodology,
Rapid/SMART technologies, and AGILE project delivery to address key
improvement opportunities and focus on consistently meeting or exceeding
customer critical to quality (CTQ) requirements while focusing on the
reduction of the cost of poor quality (COPQ)

3. Will analyze internal and external data, recommend actions to manage and
reduce cost, and implement and continually improve operational control
metrics

4. Will manage and be accountable for end-to-end delivery of improvement
and innovation projects to improve quality, productivity, efficiency,
mitigate risk, and identify opportunities for rapid deployment or SMART
technology

5. Will influence and persuade senior and executive management to apply the
5 PE Habits for Performance Excellence in their units and cascade these
practices down through their respective organizations

6. Will incorporate and serve as a role model for the values of continuous
improvement and respect for people on a daily basis. They will ensure
employees see these values demonstrated by management, by the way the Bank
treats Customers and how they have a part in improving that experience.

7. Will assist in the development and delivery of PE training and 5 Habits
implementation, as well as facilitate group meetings and discussions on
quality-related and key business issues.

8. Will coach and mentor Catalysts (GBs) during and after training through
the certification process as required.

9. M/BBs may be called on to manage and complete significant projects as
assigned by management



III. CERTIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

1. This position requires physical proof of Master Black Belt or Black Belt
certification from a recognized and reputable certification authority (to
be verified before employment)

2. Minimum of five years proven broad-based financial management experience
and/or financial operations, including a preferred minimum of three years
management or supervisory experience or equivalent

3. AGILE Scrum Master certification and/or some form of rapid technology
project management/execution is preferred

4. Experience and background in robotic process automation (RPA), machine
learning, big data analytics, and/or enterprise-wide process transformation
is highly preferred

5. Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business, finance, related field or
equivalent experience. A statistics course or related experience is
preferred.
