*Duration – 6+ month* *Interview Mode - in person interview.* *Please make sure they have Cloud and Data Center experience, and SDN (Software Defined Network) is a huge plus.* *Technical keys to the role:* o The applicant is required to have a strong understanding of TCP/IP, switching technologies (Cisco Nexus (7k’s, 5k’s, 2k’s, 9k’s, Catalyst 4k’s, VLAN’s, STP, RSTP, VPC, VPC+, OTV, VXLAN, ), Routing technologies ( ASR, ISRG2, EIGRP, BGP, redistribution, summarization), IP (IPV4 & IPV6, NAT, ACL’s, DNS, DHCP, WINS), VoIP (SIP, H.323, G.711, AFx, EFx, etc) multicast protocols (PIM SM/DM/SSM,) QoS (AFx, EFx) Cisco IOS, general knowledge around NTP, SNMP, NetFlow, CEF, Security Protocols, network management tools o Make sure the candidate can do packet captures o Make sure they have strong VOIP and Load Balancing experience *Competencies/Skills:* • Good consultative and communications skills, design skills, analytical ability, judgment, and the ability to work effectively with clients and other Information Technology staff, consultants, and vendors. • Must be able to fulfill all obligations under limited supervision and also be competent to work on their own at the highest level as it relates to all technical phases of projects. *Experience:* Typically three or more years’ experience in data communications fundamentals, telecommunications, network design, implementation, and support in state of the art data communications networks or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Cisco CCIE, Cisco CCDA or CCDP certification. The applicant is required to have a strong understanding of TCP/IP, switching technologies (VLAN’s, STP, RSTP, VTP, 802.1x, VCP), Routing (EIGRP, BGP, redistribution, summarization), IP (subnets, CIDR, NAT, ACL’s, DNS, DHCP, WINS), VoIP, multicast protocols (PIM, IGMP, CGMP), QoS Cisco IOS, general knowledge around NTP, SNMP, Netflow, CEF, Security Protocols, network management packages including CiscoWorks, NetQos, QIP. Technical knowledge of T1, T3, Ethernet, MPLS, CWDM and DWDM. The applicant also is required to have strong technical knowledge of VoIP/IP telephony systems, PBXs, voice mail, ACD’s, interactive voice services, call management systems, and telecommunications accounting systems, strong hands on knowledge of SIP, H.323, TCP/IP, FoIP. Applicant must have a strong understanding of VoIP, QoS issues and mitigation strategies. Cisco Load balancer or comparative vendor load balancing technologies.
