Please, excuse cross-postings.

I'm inquiring as to what other museums do when it comes to liquidating 
hardware.  We have equipment that we have upgraded over the years and we would 
like to stop taking up our storage spaces with it.

Do you resell it, recycle it, donate it to another organization or something 
else entirely?  What are your procedures for doing this like? What kind of 
documentation do you keep on the process? If you have a formal written policy, 
would you, please, share it?
