BAM/PFA Webmaster

The mission of the UC Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive (BAM/PFA) is to inspire the imagination and ignite critical dialogue through art and film. Duties: Manage, develop, and produce the BAM/PFA Website, a database-driven, dynamically generated website that includes visitor interaction, extensive searchable research resources, and multi-museum collaborations. The BAMPFA webmaster is part of a five person Digital Media team, and is the central coordinator for the website, managing all related work and information flow, project timelines, and ensuring quality control and deadlines are met. The webmaster works closely with Digital Media team members on technical aspects of the website, such as CSS templates, XML/HTML exports, e-commerce transactions, and online database searching. Works closely with members of other BAMPFA units on project planning and workflow/deadlines.
Required Qualifications: Professional management and production of a website (preferably a dynamically generated website utilizing a content management system); expert knowledge of HTML and at least one of the following: XML, DHTML, XHTML, CSS. Time, workflow, deadline, and project management. Interpersonal and communication skills with non-technical staff. Experience working with databases (FileMaker preferred). Digital imaging and scanning. Expert knowledge of web standards, website architecture, and web design principles.
Hours: This is an 80% position, working 4 days a week.

Salary Range: The full-time annual salary range is $36,540 to $41,916. Actual pay will reflect the percentage of time worked.
