Scope of Position:

Senior web developer fluent in the following technologies: Flash, Java, ASP, ASP.NET, JSP, HTML, SQL. Strong knowledge of SQL Server Databases, Windows Server Environment. Preferred candidates will have experience with some aspects of search technology and Content Management Systems (Stellent). Candidates must be able to demonstrate a high level of responsibility, dedication, initiative, and an entrepreneurial/innovative outlook. Excellent verbal/written communication and organization skills/attention to detail.

Essential Functions:

Develop and maintain the current DMA website using Stellent Site Studio.
Develop the programming and the working design of a new Museum Intranet site that meets the requirements set forth by the IT Director.
Work closely with the IT and Marketing staff as it relates to the development, maintenance and function of the site.
Implement on-going updates to the Web site with latest Stellent product updates.
Ensure that the Intranet site, through design, content, and programming, is easy to find via the internet through search engines as well as being fast to load and easy to use.
Develop e-commerce capability for those facets of the Museum that require it: the Museum store, membership, and box office
Must have a skill set that includes HTML, .NET, Flash, Microsoft Sharepoint, and be able to learn Stellent Content Server skills.
Must have good people skills and be capable of working well within a team environment.
Must be industrious and be able to achieve preset goals with minimal supervision.
Should be able to train DMA website contributors.
