When creating a copyright policy of any sort, you really have to consider
the depth of it. Is it just for users who visit your museum's Web site? Or
is it designed to ensure some protection of copyright infringement liability
against employees of your institution? Also, will it help your institution
protect its own content, and also help license and exploit this content?

I would suggest that anyone providing Treden with an example of a
digitisation policy might want to consider asking Richard Urban to post
it on the Digital Media SIG page of the MCN site so that it could be
shared with colleagues who are going through the same thing. If these
