Dear All,

I was recently asked about some pie charts of mobile access to the V&A I put
out a year or two ago showing mobile trends and if the same trends were showing
the same.

Here's a short post on what I found when I checked earlier today.
http://www.vam.ac.uk/blog/digital-media/mobile-and-tablet-access-trends

It that shows the mobile/tablet/desktop traffic breakdown trends for 2012 - 2015

The data tells us that...

* Mobile breakdown is still different on different types of content
(visitor information sessions much higher than site average)

* For traffic averaged on all pages it has grown to about a quarter

* On visits with a visitor information page it's now about a third of
all traffic

* Desktop access is now in the minority on visitor information sessions
(about 48% - rest is mobile/tablet)

* Tablet access appears to have peaked in 2014.

In other words - responsive websites is a standard requirement (duh!), but if
you have to prioritise resource start with identifying your high mobile content.
There's a quick bit on how to look up this data on your own site.

enjoy
