Hello, smart ppl on the list, While having a cup of green tea I was enlightened with this great idea for future versions of MD (apart many bugfixes already reported ;) We currently have 3 "basic" folders (PRIV, SPOOL & TRASH): why do not add another one (SHARED or something like that) where every Account can place messages in order to let the others see them? Since the database is effectively shared between Accounts, it would quite easy to do that without duplication. Maybe in Preferences we can have a tick-box for /Enable SHARED messages/ and a small set of options to regulate access on messages placed there: - only the originating account can edit messages (others are read-only); - only originating acc. can delete msgs (or move outside SHARED); - restrict SHARE to a subset of accounts only and state rights for each one; - full SHARED messages; and so on. This will make importing msgs from other accounts a matter of seconds, in a "legal" way, and perhaps will let MD a good choice in a multi-user environment. Moreover, this will open up more possibilities to single-user systems, where it's common to have (at least) a couple of different accounts. See? Is not a wonderful idea? :) Please give me some feedback. If you'd find it interesting, maybe I can mail that to Mr.Wagner (yes, *the man* himself! ;) Greetings to all of you. -- Roberto. __________________________________________________ A1200 PowerT (040/25 603e+/240) BVision AcerView17" 64mb IDE: P.Flyer HD2.1+13.6gb CD32x ZIP100 TrustComm.56K OS3.5 V NetConnect2 & more real soon...
