The above is a quote from an email I sent to this group a while ago.
Somebody suggested that I check out the picture.datatype in classes.
I tried replacing my os3.5 datatype with an os3.1 datatype.
This in fact worked. I was able to load in an x-face.
Unfortunately I have to use the os3.5 picture datatype for everything
else so I had to change it back afterwards.
Well this leads me to the conclusion that loading x-files with the
os3.5 picture.datatype is not possible. There must be some
incompactiblity somewhere. At least I can use them again.
Just thought I'd inform anyone who is having the same problem
