It has CacheCDFS, which I did not install as AsimCDFS 3.10 works fine with
OS 3.9. As to the upgrade to 3.9, OT perhaps, here is what I wrote to
Amiga_sa:

I have to confess that OS 3.5 never made it here to my main machine, too
many hassles, though after BB2a it calmed down quite a bit. By then
though, I had OS 3.9 in the mail. Well I tried it on the test machine.
It was stable and much faster than 3.5, and there were no apparent
problems with it, so... I made a secondary OS 3.1 boot partition and then
just dumped OS 3.9 right on top of my full OS 3.1 install. It was the
best thing I ever did. The new 040 and 060 libraries from 3.5 work faster
and more smoothly than the old P5 ones did, and system speed and stability
has ¡mproved. It left everyth¡ng in my WBStartup and User.Startup drawer
and file, so no hacks I was running caused any problems. I did loose my
address book in Microdot on both machines, but after importing the YAM
mailing list to Microdot, it loaded it and reconfigured contact manager
and worked. Wavs now require Play16, so there must be something in the
sound DT's that messes up Multiview, but that is minor. The most
unexpected and greatest speedup was in PCTask, a program I seldom use.
Win 3.1 now boots in well under a minute vs 4 or so on this 060 system.
Solitaire is now even playable, and MSWord 6 loads faster and is more
responsive. Anyway, I recommend OS 3.9 to all classic Amiga users. Of
course I don't run MCP or Scalos or DOpus, so I can't comment on its
compatability with them. One of my friends uses MCP and Scalos with 3.9,
and has some stability issues, but says 3.9 is far more stable than 3.5 is
even with BB2a. Buy it, you will probably like it, I do. It is even
going on the wife's computer, I have so much trust in it. Oh, and you can
continue to run MWB with it, and it works fine. I haven't gotten around
to converting all my MWB drawers and icons yet and their appearance is
unchanged.
