Over the years, several folks have asked about doing this. It would
make a great DIY project. You could order the service manual for the
car unit from Tri-tronics (phone and address in the MD FAQ) and order
the right DIN connector from www.digikey.com. Then try and make a
simple adapter. I'd be happy to post your results!
