Well, at those prices they're both pretty good deals, but I guess I'd
argue that the MT15 was only 2/3rd's the 722's price, but it's nearly
on par with the capability of the 722. Same sound, same battery life,
but the MT15 loses the remote and jog dial.

I find all MD recorders in the ~$100 price range to be pretty
compelling.

I was surprised, incidentally, that the Sharp MD-MS702's remote did
not display anything when connected to the MD-MT15! I don't understand
how they can save much money by removing the display driver functions
from the control circuitry.

Finally: I was also surprised that the US Sharp MD-X5 bookshelf system
is different than it's Japanese version: no mic input, but optical
*and* coax digital input.
