AFAIK the drive can physically do it without modification (MD Audio TOC read/write seems to be allowed with MD Data equipment). Getting the drivers and application software together after all these years might be a different story. I don't think it's a SCSI drive, so I have no idea about its command set, or how you'd figure it out.
