It's sad to think that some of my favorite, old-timer, list members do
not read the MDCP news! :-) Sony has capitulated and put in a user
selectable mode ("Rec-pos: From End") wherein the recorder will always
start recording at the end of existing material (what a *concept*, eh
Sony?). The mode is sticky, and will remain as it is set even after a
battery change. Yes, the default is wrong, stupidly wrong from a user
interface point of view IMHO, but at least we can now leave this issue
and move on to bigger and better things.
In a year, T-station should take a survey to see how many MZ-R900
users leave it in the default state (and to see how many wish the
default was different).
