hi all, i'm from germany and i have someone in the states (hey mark) who could get me the SHARP 831 as an import to germany. now, the 831 is only sold in japan right now, AFAIK, so the item is already imported to the states. then it'd be shipped over here to me. now, i've written an email to SHARP germany, but i haven't gotten an answer yet (it was out on friday, so they'll probably only get around to it sometime during the coming week). anyway, have any of you people here had to import any item (not a minidisc in paricular)? if yes, what exactly were the terms of warranty on the item? did the local branch of the manufacturer provide any kind of support (i.e. do they provide service or send the item in for a check-up if something's wrong with it) or would i have to send the item back to japan (would the japanese manufacturer provide warranty for items that have been exported?)? cheers, matthias ----------------------------------------------------------------- To stop getting this list send a message containing just the word "unsubscribe" to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
