I just joined the list this morning after picking up a 2nd hand Sony MZ-R30
and having a few teething troubles with it.
When I try to record from my Kenwood MD player using an optical link, the
Sony display comes up with "You tried to make a copy from a disc that is
protected by the Serial Copy Management System. You cannot make copies from
a digitally connected source which was itself recorded using the digital
connection.Use the analog connection instead".
At the moment, I'm taking this to believe that you can't copy optically
(digitally) from one digital machine to the MZ-R30. Does anyone know if this
is right or have any way round it other than not recording it digitally?
