MD: Sharp 702mk remote light question

Hey all,

  Is it possible to extend the time the backlight on the remote stays on? 
It's only on for about 2 seconds when you push a button... I know you can't 
change it in setup (it's only ON or OFF) but maybe someone out there can 
help... :)
