Hi All,

Just a note, which can save you some grief.
Be aware if you're using Nicads or NiMH rechargeable batteries (both have a
nominal cell voltage of 1.2V). Nicads tend to have a memory effect, and if not
discharged need discharging to 1V per cell before recharging. Many Nicad
chargers do this automatically. NiMH cells have a different memory effect, but
should never be overcharged. i.e. you may get away with using a NiMH charger
with Nicads, but never use a Nicad only charger with NiMH.

Li-Ion will be damaged if charger voltage is too high, and should only be
charged with the charger supplied by the battery manufacturer.

There is a bit more info on batteries somewhere on my site at
http://www.rwc.cwc.net.

Best wishes,

Ray
