Music can only be transferred at 1x. But it's slower only if you've got
*one* blank minidisc. Once I do record it, I can switch discs in the time it
takes to eject and load another. Granted you won't have everything on
minidiscs, but you also don't have to hook the damn thing up to the computer
every single time you want to change your selection.
And the ability to get a permanent copy is a bonus that the Rio doesn't
really offer.
It all depends of how you look at it.
