Sony. Which means okay at best, but usually mediocre.

Don't bother. Get a Sennheiser 490 set instead.

And FWIW, even the cheapest earbuds will play loud enough to permanently
damage your hearing. If you are trying to compensate for external noise,
you should seriously consider investing in a set of isolating or noise
cancelling headphones or earphones. They cost more, sometimes a lot more,
like my Etymotics, but the difference is significant.
