I decided to order from MiniDisco.com, as I live in Canada and we are not
able to get most models of MiniDisc recorder, (the MZ-R70 is the latest unit
Sony Store now stocks). However, I was unsure about which new unit I wanted
most, since R90 and R91 are only cosmetically different (and made from
different metal) and also the MiniDisco rep suggested I go with a Sharp 831.
In the end I settled on the 91, since the determining factor for the 831
would have been the PC-Link and the software is only in Japanese. I would
like to hear others' opinions. Which is the best new portable? Was the AIWA
FM80 worth checking out? Are there any new units from other big names?
