Yaniv asked,

| a regular speed minidisc?

Just guessing here until Jim Resinger or Brian Youn or Ed Heckman or someone
else with the requisite equipment answers from direct experience ...

Since the S/PDIF signal between the two is uncompressed audio, an SP dub of
an LP2 track should come out just fine. It would be lossier (compared to the
source that was copied to LP2) than source->SPMD->SPMD because of LP2's lower
bit-rate, but it ought to be extremely hard if not impossible to tell the
difference between the first-generation LP2 track and the second-generation
SP track.

Unless you were asking about SCMS's effect, Yaniv, in which case my guess is
that SCMS works the same way regardless of SP, LP2, or LP4.
