What was the digital source for the recording?

I guess it would probably depend on the attributes of your recording MD
unit, which (assuming it is, or like, the main consumer units) would set
this to be the ultimate copy.

Have you tried to make a copy and it doesn't take, with SCMS type messages
saying so?

That being the case, your left with using MD units (more professional type
units) that will ignore the SCMS information, or an SCMS stripper (note:
some of the better digital connection converters include this sort of
thing), or an analogue copy.
