Sorry -- forgot to clarify this: there hasn't been a portable audio MD recorder made yet that doesn't have analog recording capability (though the MZ-R500 has no mic input, and the MZ-B3 has no line input (nor does the MZ-R5ST and MZ-R4ST unless docked)).
