<p class=3DMsoNormal><font size=3D2 face=3DArial><span =

font-family:Arial'>Recently the disc assembly (I guess that&#8217;s what =
it&#8217;s
called) in my JE510 was trashed when I attempted to fix the <span =
class=3DSpellE>microswitch</span>
and broke the record head (oops). So, wondering what to do, I take my =
JE320,
take it apart, remove it&#8217;s disc assembly unit, plug it up to the =
510
(because the 510 and the 320 were SUPPOSED to be the same unit) and it =
wouldn&#8217;t
work. So, upon further examination, I noticed my 510&#8217;s <span
class=3DSpellE>mainboard</span> was marked &#8220;MDS-JE500&#8221; and =
my 320 was
marked &#8220;MDS-JE510&#8221;. Ok, so I&#8217;m dealing with, in =
reality, are
two totally different units. So, I looked at the boards on the bottom of =
the
disc assembly. Not only are the main ATRAC chips different, the 320 had =
an
additional chip next to the main chip. I expected the main <span =
class=3DSpellE>cpu</span>
difference because the 320 has a nice 5 second time record buffer, =
whereas the
510 has 2 (I was hoping I&#8217;d get 5 like my 320) But, I don&#8217;t =
think
that would make that much difference. So, anyway, I swapped boards off =
the
units, and my 510 now works like brand new, and I&#8217;ve finally <span
class=3DSpellE>expierenced</span> digital recording/decoding. <span =
