Rumors of Israeli Involvement in 9/11

On June 21, 2002, ABC News reported that five Israelis were arrested on
Sept 11, 2001 after being caught filming the burning of the World Trade
Center from the roof of the “Urban Moving Systems” building, shouting cries
of joy. The police found them driving in the company van. [Bergen Record,
9/12/01] Investigators said that there were maps of the city with certain
places highlighted, found in the van. The FBI confirmed that two of the
five men were Mossad agents and that all five were on a Mossad assignment.
[Forward, 3/15/02] They were held on immigration violations, questioned
excessively and then released after 71 days in custody. [ABC News, 6/21/02]
The owner of Urban Moving System, fled the United States to Israel on Sept
14, 2001. The FBI later told ABC News that the company “may have been
providing cover for an Israeli intelligence operation.” [Forward, 3/15/02;

Memorial Day: Is it America the Republic? Or America the Police State?

This time of year produces the obligatory public statements from key
figures of the political and religious establishment of the United States,
talking about our nation's greatness and commitment to individual freedom.
The speeches are legitimate in recalling who and what we were in a storied
past. The problem, however, is this--the patriotic speeches seem to avoid
any honest introspection and analysis about who and what we have now
become. The disconnect between myth and reality has become tortuous for
anyone with an ounce of intellectual or moral integrity.

The President Who Wants to Be King

his policies. The United States is now facing a regime change — from

Iraq: The Hidden War

`No question' Iraq killing was murder' Iraq's My Lai' hushed up: Critic Top
brass to testify at Marines' probe

WASHINGTONThe focus has quickly moved from the alleged crime to the
cover-up in what is now being dubbed "Iraq's My Lai," a tale of murder that
is blossoming into the worst scandal of the U.S. war in Iraq.

Comparisons are being made to the 1968 My Lai massacre in Vietnam, when
U.S. soldiers, including members of an army platoon led by Lieut. William
Calley, killed some 500 innocent Vietnamese villagers.

Did Bush’s "Bring it On" Bravado Bring On the Haditha Massacre: Iraq’s My Lai?

In a rather subdued effort to rally support for their war of choice as
questions arise about their continued tenures in office, a somewhat
contrite and stammering President George W. Bush and his war weary, but
ever slick talking side-kick, Prime Minister Tony Blair held a joint White
House press conference Thursday evening. Due to the increasingly virulent
insurgency that has turned their Iraq War game into a costly debacle, their
once cocky cheer-leadership is now critically challenged by a credibility
crunch with the voters of the U.S. and the U.K.

Dying for a Lie

The focus this Memorial Day will be on those men and women who have died in
the current Iraq war, although it is likely that only a small minority of
Americans realize that 2,464 U.S. soldiers have died thus far. The 117,000
U.S. soldiers who died in that war to end all wars, World War I, are
ancient history. Few can name even one of the 405,000 U.S. soldiers who
died in that "good war," World War II, so that Eastern Europe could be
turned over to the mass murderer Stalin. The 54,000 U.S. soldiers who died
in what is called America’s forgotten war, the Korean War, are certainly
long forgotten. The 58,000 U.S. soldiers who died in Vietnam so their names
could be inscribed on a wall are remembered by very few.

They died in vain; they died for a lie.

Missed Opportunities (Partial List)

"THE PALESTINIANS never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity!" - this
phrase, coined by Abba Eban, has become a by-word. It also illustrates a
wise Talmudic saying: "He who finds fault in others (really) finds his own

No doubt, from the beginning of the conflict, the Palestinians have missed
opportunities. But these are negligible compared to the opportunities
missed by the State of Israel in its 58 years of existence.

frankly, useless. I don't read it at all, I'll be perfectly honest, and I

EHUD OLMERT, UNREASONABLY REASONABLE?

The Palestinian ambassador Afif Safieh, since his arrival in Washington
several months ago, has often used the line "We Palestinians have been
unreasonably reasonable" in the approach to retrieving their land for
achieving peace. Was Prime Minister Ehud Olmert in his appearance before a
joint session of Congress unreasonably reasonable in suggesting that
negotiations could go forward because he was willing to give up some of his
dream of having all of the Holy Land?  Well, maybe. Yesterday's speech by
Olmert was the sixth time that an Israeli head of government has been given
the honor of appearing before a joint session of Congress in the last
thirty years.

Impeachment, Dissent and the Demand for Justice

Five plus years after George W. Bush and his PNAC-backed thugs stole the
presidency and took hostage the Whitehouse; impeachment has finally entered
the mainstream. A few weeks ago, President Bush kept grumbling how the main
stream media was not reporting the “good things” coming out of Iraq.
Desperate times require desperate measures, I guess. The rancid stench of
this desperate move to again deflect and deceive, this time on the media,
can be smelled from miles away now. Bush’s approval ratings have tanked,
American’s are growing increasingly restless and disgruntled about ‘Bush’s

A “benevolent” supremacy of world interference and control, harnessed by a
pre-emptive war doctrine; the first of its kind for the United States of
America.
