Finally, this new release incorporates what I believe are all the
changes sent to me and fixes all reported bugs, as well as some that
have gone unnoticed. The major changes are in sysex handling. I've
rewritten quite a bit, and while I know I've fixed a lot of problems,
the extent of the changes probably indicates there are a few bugs still
lurking.
One known issue: when you run the sysex loopback test through the OS X
IAC Driver, it alternates between working fine (for hundreds, maybe
thousands of messages) and dropping a few messages. I don't know if this
is some real-time issue with the IAC software or a bug in PortMidi.
PortMidi seems to work fine looping back through "real" hardware.
