How do I get decent timing on Windows?

Roger: pm_test/latency.c is the obvious place to look, thanks for kicking a few neurons into action.

Richard: sorry, I was using "timing" in a musical sense, I suppose I should have said "accurate scheduling". AFAICT QueryPerformanceCounter () (and RDTSC) would be useful for measuring latency/jitter in callbacks from timeSetEvent(), but I don't see how to use them to schedule a callback.

Thanks for the ideas,
Peter
