Friday night (4-3) United Launch Alliance will try again to launch the
WGS 2 communications spacecraft for United States Airforce. on a Atlas
5 rocket, designated AV-016 from Complex 41, Cape Canaveral, Florida.

Liftoff is targeted for 8:31 p.m. EDT. with a window extending to 9:33
p.m EDT.

Spacecraft seperation happens 31 minutes after launch.

The last attemp was scrubbed due to a liquid oxygen valve leak on the
Centaur upper stage back on March 17th prompting a roll-back to the
assembly building where the suspect valve was removed and replaced.

WGS 2 (Wideband Global SATCOM 2), built by Boeing, is the second in a
series of WGS communications satellites that will be augmenting and
eventually replacing the aging legacy DSCS (Defense Satellite
Communications System) constellation for the Department of Defense.
A single WGS spacecraft provides more than 10 times the capacity of the
entire DSCS constellation.

Satellite Broadcast Coordinates:
Galaxy 28 @ 89.0°W Transponder 15C (4000 V) Analog.

Testing starts approx at 7:45 p.m. EDT.
