Station engineers said the skunk got into the transmitter room atop Cheyenne Mountain about 8 p.m. Sunday and burned itself on equipment. The polecat reacted by spraying the transmitter, causing a breaker to trip. The signal wasn't restored for the station's Dish, DirecTV and over the air viewers until shortly after 8 p.m. Monday, staff said. Comcast cable customers were not affected. -- ================================================= George Antunes Voice (713) 743-3923 Associate Professor Fax (713) 743-3927 Political Science Mail: antunes at uh dot edu University of Houston Houston, TX 77204-3011 _______________________________________________ Please be sure to include a URL to the article.
