Interfering With Other Operators Dogs Pennsylvania Ham
Radio World
The FCC fined a ham radio operator $11,500 for intentionally interfering
with other amateur radio licensees.
The agency said in its decision that it warned Brian Crow not to
interfere with other amateur operators but he did so anyway. “The fact
that Mr. Crow would ignore the commission’s warning demonstrates a
deliberate disregard for the commission’s authority and its rules,
warranting a significant penalty,” wrote the Enforcement Bureau’s G.
Michael Moffitt.
Crow holds a ham license for station K3VR in North Huntingdon, Pa.
The penalty against Crow has escalated from a proposed fine to a
Forfeiture Order because he hasn’t responded to the bureau’s Notice of
Apparent Liability, according to the agency.
The bureau affirmed the fine this week; Crow has 30 days to pay.
